Lay the two slices of bread side by side on your plate.
Open the peanut butter jar and use a butter knife to scoop approximately 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. Spread it evenly onto one slice of bread.
Open the jelly or jam jar. If using the same knife, clean it first to prevent mixing. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of jelly and spread it evenly onto the other slice of bread.
Place the slice with jelly on top of the slice with peanut butter, aligning the edges.
If preferred, use the knife to cut off the crusts.
Cut the sandwich diagonally or horizontally, based on your preference.
Close the jars tightly, wash the knife and any other utensils used, dispose of any waste, and clean your workspace.
Your PB&J sandwich is ready to be enjoyed!
